It’s been a long four years since Misery Index dropped the brilliant Heirs To Thievery, but today the waiting ends with the release of a brand new track from the band, entitled ‘Conjuring The Cull‘. If you’re a previous fan of their water-tight take on metal that is equal parts blasting death metal and relentless grinding, then you’re going to love ‘Conjuring The Cull‘ — it trades the inhuman speed which the band sometimes invoke for a more mid-tempo stomp that makes the track all the more memorable.

Check it out here, via Lambgoat. The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album, The Killing Gods, which will see a May 23rd release through Season of Mist — bassist/vocalist Jason Netherton gave some words on his thoughts of the new record, stating:

“After an extended writing and recording process we have finally completed ‘The Killing Gods. It is the longest, most diverse and most complete album we have ever created, and it represents the blood, sweat and beers of four dudes trying to make the best songs they can. We think we have succeeded and we hope you do as well. Look for this metal beast to drop in May!”

Indeed, stay miserable.
