Typically when it comes to North American festivals worth making the trek to, my bets are placed on Maryland Deathfest despite a slight feeling of being out of my element. However, if your tastes are aligned with something a bit more mainstream, accessible, or in the vicinity of metalcore, your bets will probably be best placed on New England Metal & Hardcore Festival. Next year’s lineup has begun taking shape, and there’s some deal-makers already showing up!

Here’s the first wave of bands announced for the festival, slated for April 17th – 19th in Worcester, Massachusetts:

All That Remains
Iced Earth
Nile
Bleeding Through
Sabaton
Revamp
Nails
Within The Ruins
Slapshot
All Out War
Cruel Hand
Ramallah
Twitching Tongues
Lionheart
Counterparts
Harms Way
Suburban Scum
Fire and Ice
Naysayer
Colin of Arabia
Reign Supreme
Fit For An Autopsy
Born Low
The Mongoloids
Warhound
Malfunction
Alpha & Omega
King Nine
Discourse
Will To Die
Barrier
Kublai Khan
Scale The Summit
Sylar

There’s some hit and miss on there — All That Remains presumably headlining is a huge blemish — but you’ve got Nails, Fit For An Autopsy, and Scale the Summit representing A+ jams for the weekend, so there’s plenty to look forward to so far, and this is just the first run of bands!

If you’re already convinced, you can pick up tickets starting this Friday, November 29th at the fest’s official website. We’ll share the full lineup when it’s announced shortly!
