Apparently Howard Jones isn’t completely out of the music game since he parted ways with Killswitch Engage. Our friend over at Rebel Pyro Management pointed out to us via Facebook that the former Killswitch vocalist has a new band with members from Devolved and All Shall Perish. This came to light after former Roadrunner A&R consultant and current artist manager at King Artist Management, Noisecreep contributor, and VP for A&R at Century Media Mike Gitter — who was a key player in getting Killswitch signed — left this detail in his ‘About Me’ section:

“2011-2013: … [I reunited] with [my] old cohort Mr. Howard Jones in a brand new band with guys from All Shall Perish and Devolved.”

By reuniting with Jones, Gitter means that he’s managing this new band, which he has tentatively listed under his Management position as “Howard Jones Band.” This is exciting! This supergroup of sorts has all the promise in the world, even without knowing which members of All Shall Perish and Devolved are involved.

That’s all there is to know right now, but we’ll have more info on this mysterious “Howard Jones Band” if anything comes of this.

UPDATE: Metal Injection has confirmed with an anonymous source close to the project that it is indeed happening, and ASP guitarist Francesco Artusato is involved.

UPDATE #2: An anonymous person just sent us the following email:

I am close to people working on this new band and I can CONFIRM that Howard Jones new band is with guitarist Francesco Artusato (All Shall Perish) and drummer John Sankey (Devolved). They are the only members of the band for now and have already recorded a handful of songs which are “much heavier than Killswitch Engage”.
