Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats are an odd proposition. Their sleazy rock and roll mirrors the sleazy sexploitation of Electric Wizard, combined with the worst possible acid trip ever conceived by The White Album, may not be the most appealing concoction for your average metalhead, but in a world where Ghost sell out venues, I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to burrow themselves into your cranium.

Poison Apple‘ is the latest offering from the band, set for release on their upcoming album Mind Control. It takes a simple but brooding riff and drenches it in twisted psychedelia and thick fuzz, creating one of the most infectious tracks you’ll hear all year. Unfortunately, details on Mind Control are as elusive as the band themselves, but it should see a release some time this year through Rise Above Records.
