It really has been an incredible twelve months or so. I’m going to try and cover a few more of last year’s releases over the next couple of weeks.

Maybe try AndrewHaugRadio (andrewhaug.com). He hosted Triple J’s metal show for many years.
I hadn’t come across Vangate previously, so will check them out.

Australian bands are leading the pack at the moment I have to say. I’ve recently been yearning to stream Triple J and when I finally get some better internet I will do just that.

Breaking Orbit was the find of last year for me. The moment I heard it, I contacted the band to see if they would ship a copy out to me. One of the most accomplished debut albums I’ve heard.

Vangate’s ‘Kings’ EP is worth a mention, too. It’s about as heavy as a feather, but it gets stuck in your head like nothing else!
