I’ve only been a fan of soilwork for a short time but everything of their’s I’ve heard has always impressed me.

Even though it’s not on this album, The song Stabbing The Drama is my fav from (SW) \m/ \m/

To each his own, I suppose. I’m not a big keyboard guy in the first place, but I would have liked to hear some some keyboards in the light of “As We Speak”

I don’t think the keyboard complaint is nitpicking at all!! In all of their diversity, keys have been a integral (and great) part of the band’s sound. Among the big names in Swedish melodeath, really only Dark Tranquillity used it that much too (arguably better). So, in the songs i have heard so far, the lack of keys has been a HUGE disappointment.

I really hope the album is as good as you are boasting, b/c right now I am super skeptical based on this fact.

I’ve only heard the songs that have leaked(regrettably, I prefer to hear the entire album at once, but I couldn’t resist), and this is the kind of review I would have written based on my assumptions.
