Mastodon & Between The Buried And Me: O LAWDY, IS I IN HEAVEN?!
Posted by AlkahestFeb 8

Although that damned groundhog came out of his hole to see his shadow, a sign of six more weeks of winter weather, the feeling of spring is already starting to spread. That feeling has materialized in the form of a headlining Mastodon tour, with support from Between the Buried and Me, Baroness, and Valient Thorr.
Great lineup, although Between The Buried And Me seem like the odd men out, considering they are largely without the sludgy type of sound the rest of the lineup carries, but shit. This is still a great lineup.
From The PRP:
Speaking of the tour Mastodon said that the shows will “bring the band to the fans in American cities that have yet to experience the CRACK THE SKYE live event.” In related news, the group will be offering a limited tour only color vinyl edition of their latest album “Crack The Skye” at the aforementioned tour.

Motherfucker! The venue for the Lexington date is 18+ and my lady is 17, so I won’t be going. How stupid is that? A simple wristband or hand stamp should take care of that problem, but that wouldn’t be easy enough for the venue, eh? Ugh. And those under 21 have to pay a $5 cover in addition to ticket price.
Well I’m bummed. Stupid fucking pool hall. /rage

No dates here yet, which is weird. Don’t know if I’ll go if it’s possible, only want to see Mastodon and Valient Thorr since I’ve already seen btbam. Fuck Baroness.

I’d rather not piss off my future permanent roommate.

If that’s what it takes to piss them off then I’d consider a better roommate who doesn’t want everything to revolve around them.

Not only that, but who the fuck else am I gonna go with? Just stand there by myself like some awkward asshole? I’ll get chances to see them in the future and I’m not much bothered by it anymore.

Doing stuff by yourself makes yourself an awkward asshole now coo coo cachoo, I am the walrus. Going to shows is great by yourself tbqh, no one to worry about, a great chance to meet new people and whatnot. I’m not there to pay attention to whoever I’m with anyway, and if being independent enough to have fun without someone else as a crutch, then fuck we’re all doomed.

Since this tit face won’t let me edit this I’ll just fix it here.
“I’m not there to pay attention to whoever I’m with anyway, and if being independent enough to have fun without someone else as a crutch is bad, then fuck we’re all doomed.”
Makes sense now.

Going to gigs alone is not an experience to be missed: do it at least once.
It’s a shame the lady can’t come, but that line-up is NUTS. You guys get all the best shows, I’d definitely hit that shit up.
