So if you cut yourself and write lyrics about suicide and make out with your band members when you perform live, it’s okay as long as you play black metal?

If you give an album a 5/5 I’m going to kick you in the face.

I’d rather listen to “emo” Shining. It takes a lot more talent to genuinely pour your emotion into something than it does to write some random ass time signatures. That being said, this album is still pretty good.

Great review. I scored this a little bit lower myself, but I definitely reached the same conclusion.
